These are a super yummy treat that are easy to make! You don't even need a lot of apple, and this recipe uses ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.
Apple Cinnamon Squares

Makes: a 9x9 pan
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped apple
For Topping:
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x9 inch pan.
- In a medium bowl, stir the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together.
- Stir in the egg and vanilla.
- Mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Add in the chopped apple and stir.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared pan.
- Mix the extra granulated sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Sprinkle on top of the batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the center is set.
- Allow to cool in the pan and then cut into squares.
