About Me

Hi!  I'm Rachel!  And welcome to my blog!

I started this blog in February 2013 to help me on my journey to become more  content with what God has given me.  I am a Christian, and the purpose of my life is to follow God's will for me joyfully.  Unfortunately, I am human, so the contentment and joy take a lot of work sometimes.  I know the Lord has a beautiful, wonderful plan for my life, but sometimes it's hard to see through all of the messiness that gets in the way.  So, I'm here, sharing my journey with you in an attempt to remind myself on a daily basis how wonderful life is and how much I have to be content with.

A little about me:
I am a twenty-something married girl with no kids.

I love the Lord, my husband Thomas, my sweet kitten Lo, the beach, baking, weaving, books, movies, music, singing, color guard, history, and a lot of other things.

My husband is my best friend.  (I know it's corny, but it's true.  We're high school sweethearts, so pretty much everything about us is corny!)

God recently gave me a life-long dream come true by moving Thomas and me to Florida.  We only live about 15 minutes away from the beach!

I love, love, love to bake.  Baking gives me a lot of contentment and peace, so you'll see a LOT of recipes posted!

I am a Pinterest-a-holic.  I'm totally addicted.  It's pretty bad!  (At least we get delicious food out of it!)

If I were to travel anywhere in the world, I would choose Greece.  Greek and Roman history are my absolute favorite eras.  (I was a history and French major in college.)

I am a very random person.  One of the ones who spaces out when you're talking and says "Oh look!  Squirrel!"  (Ok, maybe not that bad, but close.)

I love writing.  Words never come out of my mouth as well as they come off my hands.  So, that means I often get carried away with posts, and they end up really, really long.

Feel free to ask me just about anything!  I'm glad you stopped by!
